In reality, there are a lot of different options for metal roofs, which means there may be a style right for you. Some of the designs actually look like shingle roofs. The design helps allow the metal to last longer than most other materials.

The second myth is that metal roofs won’t last in extreme weather conditions. This is not true and in fact, metal tends to outperform other materials during weather storms. For example, in a hail storm, shingles will be chipped and damaged, but with a metal roof, you can’t even tell that there was a hail storm from looking at the roof.
