How to Build a DIY Concrete Curb

Whether you want to improve your home’s curb appeal by creating an attractive edge to your garden or you want to add concrete curbs to an extensive hardscaping project you’re undertaking, you don’t have to hire a contractor. Building a custom concrete curb is easy when you have the right tools. In order to create a professional-looking curb, you’ll want to use a machine to make an extruded curb.

In the video posted here, a professional team uses a concrete extruder to create a curb as a border for a grassy area.

They have pre-mixed concrete in wheelbarrows at the ready as they work. All they need to do is shovel concrete into the curb extruder while slowly moving it at a steady pace along the side of the grass patch.

If you want to DIY your own curbs, you may need to rent one of these machines from a tool rental company. Ideally, you would work with at least a team of three people. One can mix concrete, another can shovel the concrete into the machine, and the last one can pull the machine along as it extrudes the curb. This DIY home project should be completed in a few hours at most.
