Wooden frames are not just visually appealing but are also effective at insulation. While wood may be prone to wear and tear in humid regions where it rains often, it can improve energy efficiency.

Wood is excellent at keeping the heat from entering the house while retaining the cool temperature inside during summer. In the colder months, the effect is reversed where it helps warm the home while resisting the cold from entering inside.

With regular upkeep and proper maintenance, you can extend the life of your wooden frame. Because wood expands and contracts due to weather changes, it will need to be sanded, sealed, and painted.
