If you love golfing, but don’t live close to a golf course, you can build a home golf simulator. This is a great way to keep you active without having to go out to a golf course, if you can’t.

There are a few things you need in order to make your home golf simulator. Rick Shiels has made his own home golf simulator in his garage with a few things that make him feel like he’s out on the golf course.

Firsly, you will need a screen that is dirable for a golf ball to hit and not ruin. As well as a projector to project the simulation you want to play on the screen.

Rick added a mat on top of his astro turf and he says that it is a great addition. Adding astroturf to the floor of your golfing room will immerse you more in the sport and make you feel like your actually at the driving range or course.

You can buy a simulation game like Foresight Sports or whichever you enjoy and hook it up to a GC Quad launch monitor, which will make the simulation work to the best it can.

The most important items you need are golf clubs and golf balls. You can arrange them however you like and start playing! An 18-hole golf course normally covers 125 – 150 acres of land, but with a home golf simulator, you won’t have to travel that much!
