What Do You Need For a DIY Spray Foam Insulation?

When using spray foam insulation, an important tip is that the canisters you are using need to be 75 to 85 degrees; the surface you are spraying needs to be 70 degrees. This will ensure that everything is safe and will come out correctly. In the video, Jon Peters is using a tiger foam system.

Before you start this project, make sure you have protective gear: a biohazard suit, face mask, and glasses. These are important to have to protect every area of your body.

Do a test spray in a box to make sure the spray gun is working correctly and make sure both components of the spray are coming out of the gun. This will make sure you get the best results. Check this throughout the process. Don’t pull the trigger all the way when the tanks are full. This can result in a big mess. When the tanks are full, pull the trigger a quarter of the way to give you an even fan.

In order to keep clean up easy, Jon suggests putting something on the floor of the area you are working on. He also suggests getting shoe covers, so you don’t have to wash your shoes afterward.
